A Better Way

A Better Way

A Better Way

Sometimes your feelings can weigh heavily on you. When this happens, you want immediate relief to bring a sense of calm within you. Despite that, every now and then, if not more often, that relief is slow to come, which leaves you in a vulnerable position and not knowing what to do. Now, you can turn to drugs, alcohol, or any other adverse method that you can think of that will provide you with a moment of temporary comfort from your mental anguish. However, there’s a better way.

May I suggest Jesus as the solution to your substantial emotional situation? I know from experience that He is the better way. He understands your situation and can indeed provide you with a safer and more sustainable solution. One that you can use to overcome your overwhelming emotions.

Isaiah 26:3 (ESV) – You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Jesus said the following in Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV) –  28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Are you willing to follow the instructions that are given to you in this passage of scripture for a better way? If you are, the first thing that you must do if you have not done so already is to come to Him. Invite Jesus into your life. Go to Church, say a prayer, or read His word. When you do, He will meet you there with open arms because He wants to show you that He is a better way.

The next thing that you must do is let Him take control of your life and teach you His ways. This starts with you trusting Him. When you do, you will find He will take care of you and won’t leave you brokenhearted, torn apart, and looking for a better way.

Jesus is the way.

Finally, after taking those two steps, you will find rest as you allow Him to control your life, provide you with directions, and maintain and sustain you throughout your life. This is not to say that all your troubles will now be over, and you won’t feel emotional pain anymore.

On the contrary, you will still have problems. The difference now will be that Jesus will walk you through your times of trouble. Also, you won’t escape the mental pain that’s associated with your emotional battles. The difference now will be that Jesus will be there in the midst of your emotional disruptions to help you work through them as you trust Him to give you guidance and relief through His Word and The Holy Spirit.

I pray that you believe that Jesus is a better way.

John 16:33 (ESV) – I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Jesus knows how to walk you through your tribulations and provide you peace.

1 Peter 5:7 (ESV) – casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.

Jesus cares for you more than you know; trust Him with the difficult moments of your life and marriage.

Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV) – 6. do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Trusting Jesus means letting go and allowing Him to give you directions to work through your concerns that, in the end, will provide you with peace and calm.
